Geared towards parents, educators, and community members, the workshop builds understanding, raises awareness, and empowers local communities to support struggling readers.

An Introduction to Dyslexia & Structured Literacy
The Dyslexia 101 Workshop is delivered as a virtual, pre-recorded presentation, hosted live at in-person events by an IDA-Certified Facilitator. This format combines the consistency and quality of a professional webinar with the engagement and interaction of a live community event.

In January 2026, IDA released the Dyslexia 101 Workshop Facilitator Directory, a national resource designed to help schools, libraries, and community organizations connect with IDA-Certified Dyslexia 101 Facilitators in their area.
The Directory is now housed in IDA’s Dyslexia Digital Library. Start today by logging in with your free Library account to access this and many other complimentary resources. Users may sign in with an existing Library account or create a new account. To access the Facilitator list, click on “Workshop Facilitator Directory” next to “Find a Provider”.

Summer 2026 Training Cohort Mailing List
Interested in becoming trained by IDA to Facilitate Dyslexia 101 Workshops in your community ? The Summer 2026 Dyslexia 101 Facilitator Training Cohort will open for registration next year.
Facilitator Requirements: 21 years or older – Experience leading group sessions or workshops – Strong communication and organizational skills – Ability to provide a professional reference – Successful completion of the IDA Dyslexia 101 Test of Knowledge – Completion of the Dyslexia 101 Facilitator Training (Part II)
Program Cost: $75.00 total – $50.00 for the training – $25.00 for the IDA Test of Knowledge

Summer 2026 Application materials will be distributed in late March/Early April 2026. Constituents who have previously applied but did not attend a session will need to reapply for the program in order to be considered for a new cohort.
