From time to time IDA shares information about how organizations around the globe help people with dyslexia. The Dyslexia Association of Singapore, an IDA Global Partner, is a social enterprise with a clear mission: to help dyslexic people achieve.

Register of Educational Therapists Asia (RETA) — RETA is an initiative by the Dyslexia Association of Singapore to bring together practitioners in the field of specific learning differences while at the same time recognizing their professional status and endorsing their qualifications.

RETA, as a community of practice, enables members to access training and events such as focus group meetings and case management discussions, which are excellent platforms for collaborative practice and knowledge sharing.

These sessions often have invited guests such a Dr. Charles Haynes, who presented at the focus group session on March 17, 2016, and Dr. Angela Fawcett, who acted as the moderator at our case management session on April 8, 2016.

In the true spirit of peer support, members conduct short workshops for fellow members, with the aim that members build their professional development portfolios.

A win-win for all, especially our SpLD learners!
