Forward Movement

The Forward Movement

While we treasure the traditions that have created the fabric of the IDA community, we know that organizations like ours can survive only if they adapt to a rapid pace of change.  After more than sixty years of existence and the selfless support of IDA leadership along with our many friends and colleagues we have been able to hold fast to our core principles and, at the same time, Move Forwardto meet new challenges and take on unique opportunities that reinforce IDA asthe authority, the friend, the supporting agency, and the advocate for people coping with dyslexia and learning disabilities.  We initiated this forward thinking with the  IDA Strategic Plan.  Now we can reinforce it with the Move Forward campaign.

IDA is Moving Forward, re-dedicating itself to single-mindedly do everything in its power to validate, support and advocate for people coping with dyslexia and learning disabilities.

IDA is Moving Forward as the authority, the friend, the supporting agency, the advocate.

IDA is Moving Forward with new advocacy initiatives, a new presence in Washington, DC and a new web presence capitalizing on emerging web technology, especially social networking.

IDA is Moving Forward aggressively leading  the worldwide fight for greater understanding of dyslexia and related disabilities and their treatment.

IDA is Moving Forward as the on-call advocate for all who confront dyslexia and related difficulties … and the families and caregivers who support them
