Putting Research into Practice: Two Evidence-Based Approaches

The International Dyslexia Association (IDA) does not endorse specific programs. However, IDA has published articles in Perspectives on Language and Literacy about evidence-based education programs designed to help children with reading disabilities gain the skills and confidence to be proficient readers. Both of these approaches employed scientific methods to assess their feasibility and effectiveness. In addition, the researchers published their results in peer reviewed journals to allow the literacy community to evaluate their contributions.
