This recognition program was established to honor the memory of Remy Johnston, a student with dyslexia whose promising life was tragically cut short in February 1989, a few months prior to his graduation from Wooster College.
Remy Johnston was a special person to his family and friends and to the staff and members of The Orton Dyslexia Society (now IDA). His mother, Joyce Johnston, who was the first person hired in the national office, retired in 2000 after 29 years of dedicated service. Read Remy Johnston’s paper about dyslexia and how it affected his life.
