IDA’s LD School membership is designed to provide teachers and staff of LD schools with regular emails covering the latest research and best practices on dyslexia and reading instruction for students with and without dyslexia. These include:

Perspectives:

You will receive by mail, a printed copies (per chart below) of IDA’s quarterly publication, Perspectives on Language and Literacy. Perspectives discusses educational best practices, curriculum methods, case studies and first-person application of multisensory structured language teaching techniques. This publication is also available to professional members electronically.

IDA’s monthly e-letter keeps you abreast of happenings at IDA and on top of dyslexia and literacy-related events and information in the field and around the world!

Annals
Annals of Dyslexia:

IDA’s tri-annual Annals of Dyslexia is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the scientific study of dyslexia, theory-based practices on remediation, and intervention of dyslexia and related areas of written language disorders, including spelling, composing and mathematics. Annals publishes original empirical studies, significant reviews, and well-documented reports of evidence-based effective practices. Electronic access is available to all members. Paper copies can be mailed to you for an additional fee.

Dyslexia Connection:

An electronic newsletter written for parents that deals with dyslexia and related learning disabilities. Articles focus on parenting, advocacy and other issues facing families with children who learn differently.

Discounts on the IDA Annual Conference:

Receive up to a $130 discount on registration fees when attending IDA’s annual conference on Reading, Literacy & Learning, a four day event that includes many topics devoted to teaching and learning. Discounted fees on branch conferences are also available to members.

Branch Membership:

Members of IDA automatically receive membership in one of IDA’s 42 branches located across the US & Canada and will have the opportunity to meet and network with other professionals in the field.

LD School members also receive for their staff, up to a $130 discount on registration fees for the annual conference. All school parents are entitled to a free 6 month trial membership in IDA. School will also receive a certificate of membership in IDA suitable for framing.

There are three levels of membership, Platinum, Gold and Silver. Here are the dues and benefits of each.
