DDIG – “Above and Beyond Intervention: Independence Through Executive Function”
Monday, May 8, 2023
7:00 – 8:30 pm CST
Join Erin Luchterhand B.S, Jennifer Onoyeyan M.A., Thea Slingland M.A , and Tiffany Wells B.S., as we dive deeper into executive functioning challenges. The value of strategic intervention for those with learning challenges is indisputable. However, as classroom teachers and parents across the country have seen, students often leave a season of intervention still struggling to generalize and utilize the skills learned into new settings. Executive Functioning, the CEO of the brain, is the key to helping students apply the hard work achieved long after directed intervention. By embedding Executive Functioning skills throughout intervention, we aid our students in developing awareness of strategies to grow their independence, both academically and in life.
Students in high school and college are encouraged to attend.
This event is free and open to the public.
