Hopeville Screening: Canton

We are thrilled to announce that IDA-PA, in collaboration with VanHook Service Co., will be hosting a special screening of the impactful film Hopeville: How to Win the Reading Wars on August 6 in Canton, PA.

Join us for an enlightening evening as we explore this compelling documentary that delves into the struggles and triumphs within the world of reading education.

Following the screening, we are honored to present an engaging panel discussion of esteemed educators and advocates from across Pennsylvania.

We will also be joined by some amazing local reading specialists and parents to help explain what signs to look for when your reader may be struggling, what to do if they are, and why it’s so important. Individuals will be available to talk one-on-one with those who aren’t as comfortable asking questions from the audience during and after the panel discussion, and we will have resource information available for everyone. This information is helpful for educators and parents, as well as any individual with an interest in helping to promote literacy and support struggling readers.
