Universal Literacy and Dyslexia Screeners: What are they, and why do we need them?

This session is designed to inform all elementary school administrators of the requirements of ARS 15-704, ARS 15-701, and ARS 15-211, commonly known as Move On When Reading, as well as, the integration of Arizona’s dyslexia requirements which mandates the use of Universal Literacy and Dyslexia Screeners. These screeners are an important first step in assessments to help identify reading struggles. Data from these screeners is collected three times per year in literacy data submissions.
