Did you know that up to 15–20% of the U.S. population as a whole—either have some of the symptoms of dyslexia or are dyslexic? That’s over 40 million people who struggle with a basic privilege that most of us enjoy every day without even thinking about it. The ability to read!
But there is hope. Although dyslexia can make reading more difficult, we know that with informed parents and community, the right resources, and effective instruction for both students and teachers, almost all individuals with dyslexia can learn to read.
That’s why we’re launching the 777 Impact Campaign. This year, with your help, IDA will
- support 7,000 Teachers by providing free scholarships and training;
- improve the lives of more than 70,000 Children through quality educational teaching and services; and,
- serve 700,000 Families, Students, and Professionals through family assistance, educational resources, training, and support.
We won’t stop “Until Everyone Can Read”!
